MEKONG DELTA FIELD TRIP (4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS) – SAMPLE PROGRAM

The objective of this trip is to give students an outdoor education experience, foster positive relationships between students and their peers, build students enthusiasm for the outdoors, and to challenge students mentally and physically.

Our guides will meet with us at our school in Saigon and depart for Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap Province) in Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, we will have lunch at a local restaurant and then join in the afternoon activities of sampan cruising, walking around the area for the typical ecological zone in Mekong Delta and sketching. Then we will board bus to our hotel in Vinh Long for check in. Night in Vinh Long City.

Day 2: Vinh Long – An Binh Island – Workshops Visit – Vinh Long

Today, we will embark on a fun day at An Binh Island. The activities include local specialty shops visiting, farming, grasshopper making, survival shelters building, banana raft building and bonfire. Night in Vinh Long City.

Day 3: Vinh Long – Can Tho City Tour

After hotel check out, we will travel to Can Tho City. We will then Binh Thuy Ancient House and Explore My Khanh Tourist Village. Head to our hotel in Can Tho and check in. Night in Can Tho City.

Day 4: Floating Market Visit – Can Tho Departure

Today, we will get up early and depart for Cai Rang floating market visit. We will enjoy a boat cruise on the biggest and one of the most outstanding floating markets in the Mekong Delta region. Bus back to hotel then have breakfast, check out and depart for Saigon, bringing back home with us wonderful memories shared with our friends in our Mekong Delta field trip.
